TRESemmé® Color Revitalize
(Probably..) Does what it claims to do, but doesn't work with my flat hair type
I rated this product
The Tresemme color revitalize shampoo and conditioner showed mixed results on my hair type. Although I have highlights that I am always interested in preserving, my hair is also very flat, dull, gets oily, and is easily weighted down with hair products, whether shampoo, conditioner, or otherwise. Using both the sampoo and conditioner was too much for my hair type - my hair had less volume than it normally did (when I used my usual volumizing shampoo & conditioner). I also HAD to wash my hair every day while using the Tresemme products, whereas I could usually go every other day with my normal volumizing products. I decided to give Tresemme another try by using my regular shampoo with the tresemme color revitalize conditioner. The results are okay, and while it is difficult for me to tell if there are any benefits in preserving the color of my highlights, I don't notice them disappearing any more quickly than they would with my usual hair regimen. Most likely, the color revitalize conditioner alone has helped to preserve the color of my highlights and kept them from fading, versus using only a volumizing shampoo and conditioner.
My main comment is that I wish shampoos with a specific purpose, such as revitalizing/preserving color, wouldn't force you to sacrifice other things. I would be much more interested in seeing a volumizing shampoo & conditionar that claims to preserve color because it's something more specific for my hair type. People with flat, dull hair like me (highlighted or not) are most concerned with the body & lifelessness of my hair. Second, comes color because color can be changed, while getting body is an ever-existing challenge for people with hair like mine. Thanks for taking my comments under consideration.
